So, I've been wondering -
Dec. 18th, 2009 01:51 pmWe got a weather report here on the Eastern bit of the U.S. that there is to be snow a-comin'. Okay, fine. I hate it when it snows here because people freak out in all sorts of ridiculous ways.
Which is kind of what I'm asking about. Specifically to those on my circle/f'list/what-have-you who do not live in the U.S.
In the winter, when there are hints of snow a-comin' do the people in your areaspaz* panic and rush off to the grocery for 'milk, bread and eggs' (or other such items)? Or is this just a bizarre trend in the 'States?*
I won't get into the 'people drive even worse than when the roads are clear' bit. I'm curious about grocery habits after snow predictions.
* completely understandable response if the weather forecast is for 'blizzard proportions' of snow, but 'dusting'? really?
* corrected to remove abelist language.
