Eventually I'll have a cooking icon -

Today I made Alton Brown's marshmallows.

Not really complicated or difficult, but gets a bit messy at the 'pour sticky goo into pan' stage.

But watching my dog trying to get marshmallow creme off his jaws was hilarious! Better than watching him eat peanut butter. (I'm so mean. *g*)

Anyway, later I'll be using my awesome homemade marshmallows for Rice Krispies treats and maybe s'mores. If only I had a bonfire. *g* I'll just have to use the oven instead.

ETA: Rice Krispie treats made with fresh, homemade marshmallows are so much better than those made with commercial marshmallows. OMG, if only I had enough of them left, I'd whip up a batch of Alton Brown's Brown Rice Crispy Bars. *goes to eat whole pan of treats*
