1st - got tired of having all these baseball posts w/ no baseball icons, so, made a few. If you're reading on LJ or IJ, you can't see it, but the current one looks like this:

2nd - local MiLB team didn't lose tonight! \o/ The game was really good and I took lots of shiny photos that I'll show once I have the film processed. (Film will be processed at anywhere that is not Target.)

writing stuff: k_b card finished, kind of working on an extra, no idea if I'll finish it; bigbang is in final edits; and I found this nifty site that explains common English usage errors... all kinds of errors. It's a good read. (*cough*sneaked-not-snuck*cough*)

Premiere dates for shows I'm planning to watch this season:

* 9/20 - House, MD (tho it's gonna have to work real hard to keep me interested - I love Hugh, but fuck-all if I'm not angry about the current character arcs)
* 9/20 - Chase (is a maybe)
* 9/21 - Glee
* 9/22 - L&O:SVU
* 9/29 - L&O:LA - which will get about 2 eps to hook me, just like CI did

In Plain Sight - whenever it starts up again

'tis shiny (no, really - it's v. cool) and deep mahogany-red (tho we were going for more red and less mahogany, it's okay, we'll just switch it up next time *g*)... and *loves it* =)

My hairdresser is made of so much awesome. She's v. nice to me and would be really bored if I didn't come to her with new and interesting hair things... usually color stuff.

However - the issues I'd been having getting color to hold in my hair, resulted (okay, maybe 'helped push her toward that decision) in her switching hair color brands - from Redken to Goldwell, b/c the Goldwell worked so much better. Lemme tell you - Goldwell rocks like a rocking thing! Redken reds always faded to brown - when they stayed in my hair at all - and I'm not the only person who had this issue. Tons of other stylists had the same problem. Goldwell? even the 'demi-permanent' color, when it faded, didn't fade much and was still red. And she told me when I was getting my hair done, that when she tried the blonds, they came out really well too - not as much 'gold' to all of them like w/ Redken. So - awesome-sauce! (Though, I don't think I'll be going blond for a while. *g*)

On a different note, I'm kind of in writing limbo... I need to make edits to my [community profile] scifibigbang (which I'm not doing now b/c I'm too wiped) and my fics are all in beta... b/c I wait 'til the last minute for everything... so I'm in a little 'ebb' of the writing bit. I'm not complaining, but it's kind of weird, having spent the last 4 months writing like the world was on fire or something and now - no writing.

I should probably take advantage of it while I can b/c [community profile] remixduello is coming up and, after that, [community profile] yuletide will be happening.

Nope. Not doing NaNo... bigbang was enough and that was 25k in 3 months. 50k in 30 days? Not gonna happen. Besides, my November's already booked with intense work stuff. I'll need a not!work break. =)

For now - I think I'll try to catch up on my comic books. I've got quite a stack to get through.

Local MiLB team won a game! They grabbed the lead early and held on through the end! Which is completely the opposite of what they've been doing most of the season.

Unfortunately, I think their luck might be tied to either playing on Friday the 13th, or [personal profile] katernater also being at a MiLB game at the same time near her hometown-ish place. *shakes head* As cool as the latter would be, I don't know if [personal profile] katernater can go to a MiLB game each time my $local_team has a game. I'm not sure she wants that much of the team's success on her shoulders in any case anyway. =)

The team actually made some minor line-up changes that might have helped a bit too. And maybe they got a strong talking-to by the coach as well. Either that, or he threatened to piss in their beer if they didn't play better. Who knows. *shrug* Maybe they got the pitcher breathing through the right eyelids. Anything's possible.

They're still in the bottom of their league, but a win's a win, right? =)

ION: 1.5 more [community profile] kink_bingo stories down! What can I say, baseball's good for my writing muses. =)

'Had a day off today. Days off are win. Today was pretty lazy, b/c my only real obligation was to have lunch with [personal profile] diamond9697 and family. =) We met at a local pizza place that has really good pizza (which is saying something coming from me, b/c I don't really like pizza) and there was fandom talk and baseball talk and other talk and pizza having and just stuff. Then there was ice creams and random Trivial Pursuit questions - the ice cream shop had cards in baskets on the tables, don't ask me why. The in-coming T-storm sort of made the decision for us to part ways... otherwise we probably would've been standing at the ice cream shop for most of the night. =)

[personal profile] diamond9697 - on the way back north-ward, depending on what time ya'll head out, there are breakfast-y places we can go. Ping me closer to then and we can try to work something out.

In other news:

I've been trying to catch up on reading the ever-growing stack of comic books that have been collecting over the last few months. Astonishing X-Men I'm still reading and keeping up with mostly, Wolverine Origins I'm really behind on - it's more regular than AXM - but that subscriptions all expired and I don't think I'm renewing that one just now. Probably wait for the TPBs. Dark Wolverine I'm just gonna let run out. It's not that appealing. Dresden I'll keep up with no matter what, b/c it's Dresden. Buffy and Angel I may shift over to TPBs with, mostly b/c comics are just too expensive. Honestly, I'll probably mostly keep AXM going b/c if I can get a couple issues in the middle, I'll have an unbroken string of them and my collector mind thinks that's pretty cool. =)

And: Local MiLB team won their away game tonight - \o/ team for finally winning a game. However, their AA MiLB affiliate didn't fare as well - they lost in the 13th for the 2nd night in a row. Sad sad sad showing for them. I'm only paying attention to the AA team b/c the catcher there was here until mid-way through the season and he got promoted. Which is great, but we kinda miss seeing him play. The AA team isn't that far away, so we may go to one of those games if we can work it right.

...ballgame rainout... lots and LOTS of rain. Probably a good thing though, b/c OMG was the team doing poorly. I mean like they were down by 6 after the 2nd inning. The 2nd. That's their worst start in the last 3 games. Hopefully they can pull their heads out of their butts and play better on the road.

Me? Imma try to dry out.

Also, I've realized I don't like working 1st shift b/c, even though it gets me out of work in time to go see ballgames during the summer, it is fucking impossible to get OUT of the place on time. Or close to on time. Even when I'm all set and ready to get out of there at 17:00, no dice. It's always at least 10 after before I get gone. Yeah, think I'll keep my 2nd shift, tyvm.

And, one of the greasemonkey scripts that I really miss not being able to use else-journaling sites? The collapse/expand entry one. That one needs to be standard on all the journaling sites b/c it makes for lovely 'bookmark' style reading... 'oh, left off here... next entry' - you know, if you leave and come back type of thing. =)

The one in my icon? Yeah, he's apparently decided to play for the one hockey team I can't stand. *sigh* Why? argh. There are 30 teams and when you left one of them you had to go to THIS one? Yes, yes, he's from Michigan and blah blah blah... but argh! <- me venting, deal.

This means if I'm gonna get a Dallas Stars Modano jersey (a new one, he signed my other one so I don't wear it) I either have to find one already done or get one before the official change, b/c IIRC, those shops that do custom player work don't tackle the name on any jersey but the team that player is currently signed to. *sigh - again* B/c, no, Modano or not, I will not wear a Red Wings jersey. Ever. Just won't happen. Steve Yzerman was the only thing I ever liked about that team, but Federov totally ruined it - punky little brat.

In other news... more [community profile] kink_bingo fics in the 'ready for beta-almost' bucket. 'Almost' b/c they're written, they're just not digital yet. What? I can't lug a PC to baseball games or doctor's appt's - that's just silly. But, when you have to wait 30 minutes for a 2 minute appt (which is also silly, lemme tell you), you can get a lot of writing done. =)

updated k_b card )

In other, other news - local minor league baseball team failed AGAIN. They lost last night in the 11th and tonight they just crashed around the 6th. They were AHEAD both games, then just - FAIL. *shakes head* I don't know what they were doing. Though, tonight, they didn't roll through nearly as many pitchers as last night. Hell, we thought they might have to pull the 3rd baseman who has some pitching experience as the back-up relief pitcher last night, they went through so many! Tonight's game, though, was REALLY good for the first four or five innings. It's really sad when they just 'flop' in the middle of the game. Also - the guy who was catching tonight totally needs to hit a homerun or imma tell him he's not allowed to catch here no mo'. It's an unofficial rule - catchers for this team have to have good batting averages. =)

ETA: this edit just out of curiosity to see what the 'crossposts' thingy does after edits. B/c typically it just links to my IJ entry, but this time it also linked to DJ (after typo edit); so, if I edit again, will it pick up LJ or Inksome? test test test....

ETA2: yes it does. First post: IJ; 1st edit: DJ; 2nd edit: LJ; so, I should be able to get Inksome linked there now too. Though, I'd figure it should link 'em all the first time...

ETA3: additional peculiarity - after ETA2, it reverted to just IJ. *ponders and skips off to file a Support Request* b/c that's just weird.

ETA4: and with that last edit - all evidence of crosspost-y-ness went away. hmmmmm

Kind of more 'forgot abouts'... 'cept there's just the one. A fic I wrote for the 'A Fic Walks Into a Bar' challenge:

Average Night, Unusual Bar | DW | H2sMsK | OTW

I forgot to post about it/post it/etc... it was done back in like March or so. Whoops!

And - baseball stuffs. Okay, really, is there some special measuring stick they use for measuring the height of these guys? B/c I swear the ones they say are 5'10" or 5'11" are closer to 5'7" or 5'8". I mean, I've been close enough to a couple to be pretty damned sure they aren't the height the roster says they are. And there's one guy on one of the other teams and the roster claims he's 5'10" and I'm certain the only way he's that tall is when he stands on a milk crate. I'm pretty sure it's a conspiracy against average-height people and they add 2" to all the players 'real' heights to make them all feel taller. Way to go making us shorter folks feel shorter than we already felt. We already have to wear heels just to be the same height as everyone else. Stop this 'padding' thing already! =)

First - is anyone willing to beta my [community profile] kink_bingo fics? I need to finish the 5th one for my bingo line, but I have the other 4 for that line, plus some others finished if anyone's up to beta. Fandoms include: House, MD, In Plain Sight, Iron Man, and X-Files circa S8/9.

ETA: now that I've double-checked the time-frame for completing Bingos... I *might* be able to get more of these done than just the one line. *ponders*

and Friday Five:

# What is your favorite drink of all time? Does it hold a special memory to you or is it just because it tastes good?

Vanilla Coke. At least right now. It changes every few years, but I love Vanilla Coke. I'd prefer Vanilla Coke Zero, but since it's hard enough finding regular Van Coke, I'll take that.

# Tea or coffee or hot cocoa?

All of the above, depending on my mood. I love tea! Hot cocoa is fabulous in the winter, especially w/ a little peppermint in it - however you do yours, candy canes, Schnapps, what have you. And I like coffee, but I can only drink decaf anymore. Regular coffee does bad things to my tummy. Seriously - decaf frap's at Starbucks - best thing introduced in years. =)

# Best summer time drink?

Lemonade. Chik-fil-a makes a lovely diet lemonade sweetened with Splenda, so it's just the right amount of sweet w/o the extra calories and still lemon-tart. Other than that - gimme water when it's hot.

# Worst soda brand ever?

I wasn't thrilled about Jones - cane sugar is lovely, but too much is a bad bad thing.

# Water: flavored, bottled, carbonated, or regular old tap?

Tap water that's been run through a Brita filter is my water of choice. Bottled if I have to. Flavors are useless and taste funny and carbonated water is too much like Alka-Seltzer. No thanks. Unless the carb'd water is mixed in with some alcohol, in which case, yeah, that's fine. =)

So, couple other things - I haz new sunglasses! My old ones were several years old and kind of failed at blocking the sun anymore, so - new ones. Polarized and shiny. Possibly a bit more expensive than they needed to be (though not much more than what it would've cost me to get 'em at the optometrist, considering it costs 'extra' to NOT get the 'script in the lenses - what the shit is that anyway?), but that does mean that I won't toss 'em randomly on the floor or in a bag or something.

Also - checking out Last.fm... so far, pretty nifty. We'll see how long it holds my interest. =)

Of a sort... dinner was good. The show? Well, think Elvis impersonator who does all sorts of '50's music, but is better at singing Johnny Cash. Really, he wasn't that bad, but he wasn't great. His dancing, however, could use a lot of help.

This week? Yeah, this week was much with the 'I do not have time for anything outside this very tiny list of things and $thing is totally not on it!'. AKA: worked so much OT this week that I will, have monies for my trip in 2 weeks and will probably sleep all of Saturday so I can go to work again on Sunday. (I'm actually gonna go in a bit on Friday - 06/25/10 (was gonna say 'tomorrow', but it's kinda 'tomorrow' already) - but only for a few hours.)

Spoons? Well, I have them, but they are all allocated to working 12hr days this week. And for sleeping. And those 2 trips outside so the dog doesn't potty in the house. But that's kind of it.

12hrs at work, plus 7-8hrs sleeping (OMG if I don't hit at least 7 that's the end of the world right there), plus approx 1hr commuting time and 1hr for getting ready for work leaves very few other minutes available for 'doing stuff'. So, lots of 'stuff' wasn't getting done. Upside? OT pay! That I only get a tiny portion of b/c the taxes will eat me alive, but it'll be *some* monies.

Mostly, I managed to clear out my inboxes of most stuff and skim through all my reading lists. So, if something hugely awesome happened and I didn't comment on it? Plx to not be taking it personal - I just haven't had the brainz for it of late.

I'm still working on my fic stuffs - when I have a spare minute or two (not many of those this week). And I have a couple other little things I've been tinkering with.

I did take a few minutes to skim the article [personal profile] tajasel linked in her post over here about how ADD brains work - at least that blog poster's anyway. What did I notice about that? My brain - not much different. (In case you couldn't tell from the really disjointed posts that I make. *g*)

I don't tend to lose my keys, wallet or phone all that much - unless I put it someplace where my brain hasn't determined that it should always be. Keys always go $here, phone and wallet go $here1 when not on my person, etc. Not kidding, I used to be hyper-organized with damn near everything. As in, I could tell if someone had been in my room b/c something had been moved even a fraction of an inch. That's mostly gone away, b/c I can almost never find anything b/c it's all in a pile somewhere. Not a cataloged pile, but a pile. Funny though, b/c a lot of times I know what's *in* the pile, but not specifically *where* in the pile something is.

I'm visual and kinetic - I have to see and do things to 'get' them. If I have an appointment - I have to physically write it down (not type it on a computer) to remember it. My brain recalls that act of writing, but doesn't always convert 'I typed this onna screen' into 'something that needs to be remembered'. Though, Outlook's reminder functionality is v. useful at work. And I need to *see* things to be reminded of them if there isn't a 'kinetic' thing. Like the little card on my desk glaring at me for paying my car registration for the year. Of course, that card doesn't realize that I have to wait until the paycheck is deposited before I can do that.

I also, quite possibly, annoy the shit out of my friends w/ IMs and e-mails. As thoughts hit - things I need or want to tell them - off they go into the IM window or an e-mail. Why? B/c if I do not do it *right now* as I'm thinking about it, it could be YEARS before I remember that I was gonna tell them something. And my brain will stare at that blank space of $thing_i_was_gonna_tell_X until I fucking figure out what it was. Typically, that ping of memory will happen at the most ANNOYING times - like just as I'm about to fall asleep. Yeah, there's a pen and paper on my nightstand for exactly situations like that one, again, b/c if I don't write it down - *poof* it's gone and we start all over.

It used to (and probably still does) annoy the fuck out of my parents, b/c I would say 'yeah, I'll do $thing', but four hours later, I still hadn't done it, no matter what I'd told them. And it wasn't necessarily that I didn't want to do $thing, but that I was involved with something else (and probably had 7 or 8 other 'elses' tag along for the ride) and completely *forgot* about $thing and rather than the parentals learning or devising a way to remind me of $thing that would work, they'd just get pissed off, which led to me not doing $thing (if it was a chore, especially) out of spite, b/c they were pissed off about something over which I really didn't have all that much control. This is part of why I have lists and sticky notes and stuff.

I also have a little dry-erase board that I write temporary things on - like book release dates for Jim Butcher or convention dates or things like that. Little reminder things that I can glance at quickly.

Now, if I could just find a job that worked well with this sort of brain activity, I'd be all set. Anyone know of a job where they don't care if you show up fifteen minutes late every day, have stickies everywhere, giant lists of things, a laptop equipped with Outlook and set, but slightly flexible deadlines? Oh - and they don't mind if you spend 15 or 20 minutes every couple of hours (or 5-10 minutes every hour) doing something that isn't specifically work-related b/c it helps you focus? I totally want that job, as long as it doesn't involve dealing with children or writing or debugging code, (b/c I suck at both with the code) and I just don't have the patience for code or kids. =)

It's almost 0400 - imma going to BED dammit.

Summary of tonight's baseball:

game 1: \o/ home team wins!

game 2: /o\ home team not win so much - in fact, home team got skunked :(

Double-header tonight as a result of last night's torrential rain out.

And - I wish they'd let the awesome-hot-catcher catch both games, rather than having the mediocre catcher catch the 2nd game. Blah. Also - awesome-catcher is like 6'4"! I don't think they lied on his stats. Not like that guy from the away_team they played last week who claimed to be 5'10" and clearly was *not* as he was shorter than the mediocre home_team catcher who *is* 5'10".

On the bright side -- I got quite a bit of writing done while sitting at the ballpark. Yes, I write while watching the game. I write while doing lots of things. But ballgames are pretty good for the writing, as long as someone doesn't sit directly behind me. I have this thing, I feel really cramped when ppl sit right behind me like that. It bugs the life out of me and invariably, there will be a WHOLE FUCKING ROW OF SEATS behind me and ppl will sit DIRECTLY behind me. No matter where on the row I'm sitting. ARGH!

More about the games... home_team's 1B threw his bat into the stands during one of his at-bats. The guy who caught the bat had to give it back so the 1B could finish his batting. =) No fewer than 3 of the home_team players had tears, rips or holes in their pants. The 2B (SS in the 2nd game) has a 2" rip in his pants that's been there for nearly 3 weeks. The RF hit a homerun and got an RBI to go with it. There was also a case of pockets being inside-out, which I'm not sure I get - is that a trend or just a 'whoops'? B/c as least 2 of the guys manages that one. =) Oh! And the CF (who has run into the center field wall at least 3 times this season trying to catch fly balls) caught a fly ball without running into the CF wall! \o/ So there was some 'yay' and some 'not-so-yay' tonight, but all-in-all, not bad.

Drive-by posting:

Well, after Friday night's rain-out, Saturday was a double-header. And, boy was it ever!

* First game: damned umpire got in the way of the 3rd baseman's plays TWICE! TWICE! (The 2nd one, he was also in the way of the catcher - 3B was backing him up). And we're talking good, solid, $other_team was going to be called 'out' plays. Bad umpire!

** The first play he was in the way - he was standing in front of 3rd and JUMPED OVER the ball that was thrown to the 3B, so that runner ended up safe.

** The second play he was in the way - he was standing up the catcher's ass, nearly blocking him from moving to catch the pop-foul. The 3B was coming in to back up the catcher on that play, but the ump was between 3B and C! OMFG! ump - get the fuck out of the way!

** $home_team lost that game :(

* Second game: new umps! (yay) but the 7-inning game went on for 14 freaking innings!

** $home_team won this one! \o/

We noticed that our usual catcher wasn't playing tonight and that we had 2 new guys catching. So, checked out the team's webpage -- DUDE! The hottie catcher got bumped up to Double-A! This is a guy that, fans last year in their old affiliate city, were counting out of the running and as a 'bust' based on his being drafted straight out of high school. He was the #1 batter on $home_team and his catching was strong. So go him! If he makes it to the majors, we'll be doing a little happy dance. He's a good kid. Oh - and my nephew has his autograph (twice) on a baseball. =)

Me? I'm going to bed - have work in the AM - ugh.

Rhetorical question time: What is the ONE thing one never does when processing film?

If you answered 'expose it to light', give yourself a gold star and four marks for being smarter than the folks at the local Target photo lab.

*****

To the folks at said photo lab:

Did it never occur to you that, when processing film, the reason it happens *inside* the machine is because once the film is exposed to light it no longer contains the images so delicately projected onto it? Yes. Really. Exposure to light is how the pretty pictures get ONTO the film in the first place. However, over-exposure to light does bad things. That's what the chemicals are for - developing the images and then STOPPING the development. (The final stage is rinsing off the chemicals, but that's less important than KEEPING OUT THE FUCKING LIGHT!

So, no, you were miles of wrong when the machine 'jammed' (or whatever-the-hell-happened) and you OPENED it to 'unjam' it. Why? Because you RUINED 36 exposures worth of photos. 80% of which I CAN'T GET BACK.

Oh, and the little, grammatically challenged note you left on the envelope that left NO explanation for what happened at all? Not even close to appropriate levels of customer service. That note was the equivalent of a 'happy' emoticon after an insult. Not cool. Not cool at all. Leaving the poor guy in the photolab later to try to explain your fuck up.

For the record, I won't be having Target process any of my film in the future. Not even if I snap 24 shots of a bug on the wall. Oh, and all of my important photos? They'll go to the camera shop downtown from now on.

See, Target, not only did you lose whatever money I would have paid for my film processing, you also managed to lose the sale of the other items I was going to buy tonight because I was too pissed off to shop anymore.

No love,
pissed-off!H2

********

This was a big fail b/c one of those shots was of my sister with one of the local ball players that she's been poking at me to get processed since I took the photos at the game on Saturday, so, she'll be more disappointed than she was when I just hadn't had the film processed. Fucking photo lab.

The upside? I didn't have to pay for the other 2 rolls I had processed. Trust me, had they asked for money after having fucked up my film, there would've been an epic throwdown.

Yeah - this is my not-happy face: >:{

Broad subject, I know.

* My 'other' 3w4DW project is on a mini-hiatus until I can get some coding things worked out. Hopefully next week I won't have a million things going on all at the same time and I don't have to work late, so all should be cool. (Or I'll go to 'plan b' until stuff works out.)

$day_job stuffs under here )

* $local_milb_team won tonight! woot! No, this is big - they had a big honkin' losing streak while on the road last week. They needed a win. I still don't recognize half the players yet - they're all new b/c the team changed affiliates this year, so it's taking a little while. Our catcher's pretty awesome though - hit a homerun tonight. =)

I have this shelf that, until this morning, was hanging over my closet and home to a variety of mugs and My Little Ponies. (Yes, I have a collection of MLPs - I like horses. Deal. XD)

This morning, said shelf decided that taking a header into the floor was a good idea. Mind you this happens at 30 minutes before I plan to get out of bed and scares the holy fuck out of both me and my dog.

3 of the mugs shattered into many many tiny pieces. And while, technically, they're replaceable, they were gifts. One my sister got for me when she was in San Francisco, one my mom got at the beach and the third was Eeyore. :( Poor Eeyore.

3 of the other survived with no problems - another from the beach, one from an aquarium and my Ghost of the Robot mug (that one *is* irreplaceable since the band doesn't exist anymore).

The last was dear Richard Burgi and that one just lost the handle, which I should be able to reattach.

I also have a herd of ponies just lying about b/c I don't have anywhere for them to live until I put the shelf back up - with much larger nails, I think. *sigh*

Aside from having to stay 3 extra hours at work, it didn't really suck, it was just LONG hours. Ugh. And I have to do it again on Thursday. Blech. Do not want!

**********

House last night. Hmmm. Not impressive, yet not sucky. Just kind of 'meh'. What happened to all the good stories and the fun banter? Oh, right, they wrote it out of the show.

Glee tonight - not bad. Then again, Kristin Chenoweth can belt out a tune or two. XD But, I really could've done w/o the millionth rendition of "Beautiful". Can we please pick another 'empowerment' ballad? Please?

Now I'm off to work on my Big Bang and stuff.

[personal profile] synecdochic posted what is probably the best recipe ever:

edible chocolate chip cookie dough - as in, 'safe to eat' b/c no raw eggs, thus not-so-much tummy ache after.

I haven't tried it yet, b/c I'm not in a 'pseudo-baking' mood just now, but this is on my list of 'things to toy with later'. =)

Because, really, who doesn't like eating just the dough?

In other news? OMG if some ppl on this $project at $day_job don't stop with the 'mine's bigger than yours' bullshit, imma have to open a can of whupass or something. Gah! Just do your shit so I can do my job, please?

However - all-in-all, nowhere near as shitty as my last job. Stress levels, overall? FAR lower. This I prefer, even if the pay is about half. I think I like being not-stressed all the time, TYVM.

'Fly-by' since it'll be kinda short and imma go finish my puzzle and find food as soon as I'm done here. =)

I'm supposed to be working on my [community profile] scifibigbang and I've written a couple new pages for it, but, as happens every time you should write one thing, you get a thousand ideas for other things. I'm resisting and just jotting down notes. Trying to work on the bigbang one instead. It's just not always working. Feel free to play 'cheerleader'... one can never have too many. XD

Took my dog for a walk - and by 'walk', I mean 'a mile'. It's half-a-mile from my house to the end of the road and, funny thing, once you walk all the way out, you have to walk all the way back. Found that I wasn't nearly as winded as I thought I'd be. This is a really good thing, really. It took me 20 mins to walk it rather than the 13 it used to take, but I'll take 20 mins and being able to breathe. =)

Now - off to locate foodstuffs and work on my puzzle. After that - back to writing bigbang and poking RP threads. XD

Sidenote: I am totally looking into grabbing a copy of the Dresden Files RPG and seeing what I can do with it. woot! Dresden! *g*
