and for today -

we have Logan in a red shirt, b/c 5 February is National 'Wear Red Day' for the AHA.

It's also 'freak the hell out b/c it might snow' day. I'm really hoping we don't get nearly as much snow as the grocery store shelves think we will.

Actually, snow wouldn't be much of a problem, but ice could be. We're supposed to get both and I'd really rather we didn't. *sigh*

style customization question

I haz questions for the styles/layouts/css gurus in my DW-circle -

* what code do I add/remove/adjust so that the journal name (ie: highlander_ii) and page title (ie: recent entries) do not display?

* what code do I add/remove/adjust so that the navigation module (recent entries, reading, network, etc) doesn't display in a sidebar? *headdesk* click the tickybox... this is what i get for doing this when i'm tired

* what code do I add/remove/adjust to make sure the head background color doesn't reappear? (I take the code out, but it reappears later)

Yeah, I haven't quite leveled up enough with my CSS knowledge to decipher all the containers and bits and bobs in DW styles just yet. =)

Harry Dresden - Wizard update

Okay, so I can't rebuild a Dreamwidth layout from scratch, but I can slap together enough html and css to update one slice of my webpage.

Harry Dresden - Wizard has gotten a mini-face-lift and a tiny content update.

The new book is due to release in April 2010 and hardbacks of the last few that were only released in trade paperback are due out in hardback this year as well. I think that means the audiobooks for them are as well.

Harry Dresden - Wizard now also sports a nifty twitter widget of Dresden-related or Jim Butcher tweets. Right now, there's a lot of alpha-tester commentary happening around the Dresden Files RPG that Fred Hicks is working on.

If anyone has link suggestions or knows of any specific published writings of Mr. Butcher's I've missed (I really think I got all the writings), let me know!

If you have a Dresden or Alera related link and want to be listed, let me know that too!
