No, really - the icon works - trust me -

So - about 0030 on Thurs (5/21) - the 'net cut out. This is annoying, but it's happened before and usually comes back in about 30 - 45 minutes. Well, not this time. It was out... and out... and out. I reset the router a couple times - still nothing. So, went to bed thinking it'd be back in the morning. No joy. Found out that the cable/net folks were doing some 'upgrades' or some shit that should've been finished around 0700 on Thurs. Well, the cable was back, but not the net. Net's been out ever since. I don't know if it's up now b/c I'm sitting in a Starbucks with my netbook.

Cable folks are supposedly 'working on it' (the net being down) - hence the 'yeah right' icon. If they're 'working on it', why is it 2 days later and it's not back on? Fuckers. I don't *want* to be sitting in Starbucks on my netbook - I want to be at my house with my photoshop so I can work on icons and stuff. Fuckers.

Seriously - cable/net company owes us 2 freebie days for this... plus some other perks or something - b/c this sux.

So, yeah - if I'm not around - it means that either a) I'm at work or b) the freakin' net's still out at the house (if it's after 2030 tonight and before 1000 on Sunday).

Edit: - so, looks like it's back... though, still 'grrrr' at net provider...
