Olympics - hockey and figure skating

These are the two I watch most.

Right now - Latvia vs. Russia in men's hockey. I'm pulling for Latvia. For one, one of my team's players is on the Latvian team and for another, I cannot stand Federov. Never liked him, so just can't bring myself to pull for his team.

Men's figure skating was tonight... I won't see most of it until tomorrow b/c I'm at work during NBC's 'primetime' hours.

Speaking of - seriously, NBC, could you PLEASE figure out how to get your sound to stick around? It's cut out too many times during these Olympics... even worse, it cuts out on the TAPED REPLAY! How the hell do you manage that?

Jeremy Roenick, you look like a giant post. (He's doing commentary on hockey.) Either his head is really huge or his shoulders are funny. Hey, at least it's entertaining. XD

Ficathon thing -

I signed up for the A Ficathon walks into a Bar challenge. (My sign-up post is here.)

In a nutshell, here's the deal (copied from the linked post):

You:

1. Pick a character, any character.
2. Pick up to four fandoms that you feel comfortable writing in; the fandom your character comes from can't be one of them.

Then:

That is all you need to do. What I (sabinetzin) will do, using highly scientific methods (and by that I mean Wikipedia and my bag of dice), is pick a character from one of those other fandoms to meet your character in a bar. You will then write a story of at least 500 words about it.

Sounds cool, no? =)

I tried to pick fandoms that I haven't been writing in a lot of late (meaning, I didn't pick House, MD b/c I've been writing Cameron and Stacy with a side of Wilson all over the place), but those that I like to write, just haven't in a while.

Van Helsing 'collection'

This entirely inspired by furikku, who mentioned rearranging the toys on her desk.

This isn't my desk, it's a shelf in my room, holding mostly action figures from the film Van Helsing. And while, much to furikku's dismay, none of the action figures are riding MLP's, there *is* a Van Helsing MLP that someone made for me! XD
