Originally this was a post about annoying, offensive commercials, but I decided to change it to something else.

Instead, I'm gonna write about how awesome In Plain Sight is and maybe get some folks into the show.

It's on USA Network - typically on Wed nights at 2200 EST (repeats at 0100 EST). It features two US Marshals who work as WITSEC inspectors - Mary Shannon and Marshall Mann. WITSEC is the Witness Security Program - commonly referred to as 'Witness Protection'.

Mary and Marshall butt heads as partners often do, but they've totally got each other's backs when it counts. Their boss is Stan McQueen, who some might recognize as Bobby Hobbes from The Invisible Man. (Vincent Ventresca actually guest stars in 2nd episode of the 1st season.) And that rounds out the main cast.

Then there's Mary's family. They are about as dysfunctional as they get. Her mother is an alcoholic; her sister gets into relationships with drug dealers; and her father left when she was little.

It's not perfect, but it's well-written and interesting. The characters are fun - as in, I could see Mary giving someone like Tony Stark a run for his money. And Mary believes in taking cookies out of the oven two-minutes early. =)

Quick version: I love this show.
