There will be spoilers, most likely, so

Um - wha-?

ok - ok - so, first, Ray Vecchio (from Due South) is Wilson's ornery downstairs neighbor, only he got his arm half-blown off in Vietnam (and his name's not really Ray, at least, not as far as we know, but he *is* Canadian!)... and well, House is nice to him and even fixes his phantom pain later. How sweet. XD

House actually, was cracking me up in this episode. He spent most of it trying to make Foreman look bad - I think. My guess, House really just wants his job back, w/o all that patient stuff. The diseases are fine, but the people - he doesn't want those. =)

I kind of get the feeling they were going for a House!reboot w/ this season, except for that one tetchy thing that is irking me to death. (more on that later) I like the S1 feel of this episode. It was nice to have the old gang back and House insulting-ish at people and Cuddy making people do their jobs, even if they kinda didn't wanna. I *like* that feeling.

[info - personal] katernater reminded me of Chase in the clinic - and I think it needed a bit more 'establishing' of *why* Chase was in the clinic. Was he covering for House? Does he always do this - though we haven't seen him in the clinic since he was fired? What gives? It's a little odd that the clinic bit was the 'establishing' shot for the 'Imma kill the tyrant guy!' scene later. *headscratch* So, why was Chase in the clinic again?

No, I liked the episode, except for all the stuff about Foreman and Thirteen - could he have *been* more of an ass to her? His whole 'Cameron and Chase wouldn't want to be in charge' thing - wow, how self-centered is *that*? His only options were 'fire my girlfriend' or 'break-up with my girlfriend'? He never even considered the 'ask Cam or Chase to step in' bit? If he was so sure neither would take it, what would be the harm in asking? Foreman might actually be more self-centered than House. And that's a feat there!

Overall though, the episode seems to have gotten back to the House 'roots' - work the case old skool with the S1 team baby! Except there was a SERIOUS lacking of white board writage. What is up with that? I liked the episode, it was interesting. I like that they didn't steer Cameron way off track and she did her JOB and tried to save the guy. It's what she does. (Thank you for not fucking that up, Shore and Co!) The 'shocker' at the end with Chase was a little less 'shocking' than it could have been, b/c they telegraphed it a little, but it wasn't bad.

And Foreman decided not to turn Chase in. Interesting.

But, did Chase have to refer to Cameron as 'my wife' ump-teen times during the episode? GUYS - we GET IT. They're MARRIED. You don't have to tell us once an Act. No, really. We saw the wedding with the pretty white dress and the no family members and the sad Cuddy, we KNOW they are married. Thank you! If Chase does that next episode, I'm COUNTING. Seriously.

Imma stop here and make a new cut for the 'thing that's irking the hell out of me'.

~~ SPOILER WARNING ~~

Wait, so, Chase kills a guy - murders him, premeditated even, and Cameron has to leave the show? This - this is not making me a happy camper. Not that I want Chase to leave - I don't. But I hate that suddenly 6 boobs is too many, so we have to pare down a set, but we get to keep all the penises (penii?) - there's 5 by my count, if we include Taub, who may or may not still be on the show. Come on - they've already paired off 2 sets of tits. And the 3rd's got a baby to look after - so what gives? While it may not 'actually' be a sex-motivated thing, it's gonna look that way. It's also gonna look like they're dumping Cameron to let Thirteen still have a job. To borrow from Gallaxhar: LAME. Really lame. Lots of lame with lame-sauce all over it. And complete with *eyeroll*.

Though, I think that this 'Chase killed a guy' thing may be what sends Cameron away. I just hope there's something more interesting in it than just 'ZOMG! My hubby killed a evil patient! Oh woe-is-me! *hand forehead* I cannot possibly stay married to him after that!' Cameron is not that melodramatic or lame. Please please please make her leaving interesting!
