So, alas, I'm working on some html/css code and, alas, it needs to work in IE6 b/c ye olde place of work hasn't felt the need to upgrade to a smarter, less ridiculous browser. (*sad*)

Anyway, here is my dilemma: I have a table. It's pretty. It's in a div, it's lovely and functions exactly as it should when coded... in Firefox. However, in IE6 it does something weird (that I'm pretty sure there's probably a hack/workaround for).

There are several rows of data with colspans, some with borders, some without and everything's peachy until the very last row which horridly IGNORES the colspan or renders it incorrectly (I'm not entirely sure which).

All the rows have 'colspan=5' for the first td element, then no colspan declaration for the 2nd td element, since it's the last column and not necessary.

If I make the last row 'colspan=4', all of the rows before that one do exactly as they should, but the last row doesn't 'span'; however, if I make the last row 'colspan=5' like the rest of the rows, ALL of the rows fail to 'span'.

I did a quick google search to try to find an answer, but didn't have a lot of time to really dig and focus since I was trying to balance 'productive' work time and 'omgmakemescream' work time effectively. *g*

Does anyone know how to fix this? If it *can* be fixed?

ETA: it's an all-around IE thing. I've 'temp fixed' it by 'cheating' with 'white text' cell data. *stabs IE inna eye w/ a spork*
